The Masculine & The Feminine

The masculine and the feminine are naturally complementary positionalities. These primal attitudes are present in both men and women, and if they are not in proper balance, the total organism is disrupted. The unrealized individual is forever at the mercy of these imbalanced forces. This striving for balance is a crucial duty that esoteric and religious philosophies are predicated upon.

It is not possible to truly understand receptivity, and furthermore, weakness, without also knowing independence and strength. Neither should be embraced at the exclusion of the other – rather, both must be understood to be integrated properly.

malefemalehyperborean

Men and women must approach these attitudes differently. As a man, one must hold fast to maleness, even when integrating the feminine aspects of the psyche. The inverse is true for women. Otherwise, one may fall into delusions of “gender fluidity” while on the path to integrity. This is a pitfall that must be avoided, because it is both a trap and a distraction.

Neither of these principles can be eliminated, as they exist in the heart of Nature itself.

In regards to women, there exists an incredible peer pressure that women naturally exert upon each other (and which is amplified by media). This is a major obstacle to integral spirituality for white women.

Men require challenges, and they require recognition for meeting those challenges. This is something that a feminist cannot truly understand, and instead seeks to fundamentally undermine.

Men naturally resist these tactics. However, as men, we must not attempt to treat women as mere property. We must assert a positive, assertive masculinity in order to subdue the wantonness that is an inherent part of a woman’s changeable nature. If this can be achieved, then one may be gifted with healthy sexual and marital relations.

hypergoreanwomanJust like men, women face unique challenges. Women have a sense of emotional depth quite rare in men and they anticipate the feelings of others very well. However, women have been estranged from their feminine nature, just as men have been from their masculine nature. Many women have integrated a “shrewish” nature through the pernicious influence of unbalanced feminism.

This is actually a survival mechanism for women in the modern world, because feminine consensus is now largely built on control over men. The influence that women naturally needed to exert over men to rein in their wild masculine tendencies and keep them focused on family needs has been turned against them in the form of modern feminism. This toxic extension of basic rights for women is destroying the social order by eroding its foundations.

Women, like men, need to be placed in conditions that employ and maximize their strengths, and be respected for that role. In the case of women, respect comes from the ardor of the man, and the harmonious connection to other women, where for men, it is due to mutual admiration and the pursuit of skillful feats (whether mental or physical).

If a society invokes a spiritual balance through its extant culture, adherence to the duty of balance naturally arises. The instincts of man and woman must be allowed to flow into the societal system or chaos inevitably results.

Concerning Hyperborean Spirituality – Part 2

[Note: This article also contains modified contributions by beserkerguru & cairbethebard]

The hyperborean peoples have been said to be cursed with the “mark of Cain” because of their strong exploratory, conquering, and resistant natures. However, due to such tendencies, we are unique in being both willing and capable of both creating new systems when needed, and changing existing systems to adapt to new situations.

gnosticjesus

It is important to realize that spiritual aspirations and spiritual realization ARE compatible with political stances, aims and memetic activities. The fact is, integral thinking is not incompatible with both critical thinking and race realism. This delusion is part of the (((control structure))) that limits our people from realizing their potential.

False Dichotomies

We are supposedly limited to either/or propositions – being spiritual vs practical, worldly vs mystical. These are examples of false dichotomies.falsedichotomy

False dichotomies are everywhere in the socio-political landscape, because they are useful tools to shape public opinion, sentiment and ultimately, group activity. They trap us in unnecessary quandaries without end.

The prevailing social narrative consists of a trap that presents us with a false dilemma. This paradigm forces individuals to choose between their innate tendencies of subjective preference, and those of objective analysis. This is framed as a struggle between the desire to relate, sympathize, and integrate, and the impulse to evaluate, judge, and restrict.

These principles are not mutually exclusive. We possess both of these inherent impulses, and both of these impulses are absolutely necessary to both our individual, tribal, and species survival. We are both are analyzers AND sympathizers, not either-or!

The contrast between preference and dislike is a fact of relative existence. Every person has things they prefer, and things they reject, as well as possessing relative strengths and weaknesses.

We cannot effectively employ one of these qualities without the other. If you focus only on that which you like, you become weak, negligent, hyper-accommodating: a division“snowflake”. If you focus only on what you dislike, you become captious, hard, uncaring – the so-called “extremist”.

The illusory division between tolerance and criticalness artificially divides a single continuum of decision: that of memory. To rely on only one pole of this line is to lose integrity: the ability to discern what is beneficial as well as what is necessary, not just one or the other.

Relying solely on preference is dangerous. For example, any “subjective science”, that is, a science where preference is inserted into the scientific method, is doomed to fail. Letting such an ideology run wild can cause severe harm.

Likewise, any “objective” or “hard scientific” means of understanding inter-relationship, feelings/emotions and motives can never truly be comprehensive, because it lacks a crucial component: that of subjective affinity. This cannot be accounted for with mere statistics.

Reflection & Action

The fact is: ignoring the plight of our people is to neglect a both a material and a spiritual duty.

pholActivism must coexist with the quest for spiritual realization, because otherwise it can trend downwards into the negative, into divisivneness, negativity, and blackpilling.

Also, we must fuse real world action with online presence. This means that you must make active use of your understanding of the world situation whenever the opportunity presents itself.

This doesn’t mean being a fanatic. Neither mere ideology nor simple organization will work on their own, they must fit together. The means by which they will fit together and obtain supremacy is through conventionality – that is, through being widely accepted.

Oppositional tactics are not the only means to obtain the goals which we seek, although they may, at times, be required. Conceptual acceptance is a crucial medium.

As hyperborean philosophers, we must present an ideology that is explicitly NOT intended to mesh with existing philosophies. This is deliberate, in order to create a separate or “counter-current” to so called “judeo-christianity” and other milquetoast ideologies.

Christianity & Tradition

A traditional orientation fundamentally resists such upstarts as “new age” movements and atheism, viewing these beliefs as based in fantasy, not fact. Of course, it is important to point out that agnosticism is not atheism, because it does not assume total certainty, where atheism flatly rejects the Divine concept.

Christianity is certainly a traditional ideology, but its current expressions are clearly flawed, incomplete, and misguided, and are therefore its institutions are unable to cope with spiritual atrophy. The authorities in these circles often lack a deep spiritual understanding.

cathedralChristianity is essentially a group religion, where people gather to worship. Churches are both community nexii as well as nodes in the Christian network. This is a valuable resource, when it is vitiated with enthusiasm and inspiration.

However, due to the decay of this community, the Christian network has also withered. A side-effect of this is that the spirituality of the people of said communities was also negatively affected.

However, the existing Christian communities should not be discounted, for they contain many good, spiritually-oriented people, who recognize the decay of the religion at large.

Individual Seeking & Ethics

Many traditions encourage a personal (or apprenticeship-based) spirituality. Such individualist philosophies often lack a firm code of ethics, which is detrimental to their spread in a wider societal context.

It is important to have a strong-yet-flexible spiritual code of ethics. It is also crucial to provide imagery and ideology that speaks to the current rise of decadence, as well as recognizing God’s indifference to destruction when the people are likewise indifferent.

All spiritual systems and disciplines are relative analogs of one another. They all seek the transcendent Source. However, this Source already provides the means of fundamental orientation for the life of sentient beings, however cryptic its mandate may appear.

Any codified system is simply an externalization of the internal realization of its founders. Although all may discover the truth of spiritual essence, few in this age do so. The light in said systems often dies out when the successors are spiritually flawed or empty.

It is the duty of a spiritual warrior to preserve the integrity of spirituality, so that future generations may benefit, just as it is the duty of the artist to preserve the qualities of thought-provocation and beauty in culture.

This duty implies both a duty to one’s own integrity, as well as to serve the integrity of the community. For those with “conservative values”, these virtues are already an imperative, so a hyperborean spirituality seeks to support them with an uplifting and factual spiritual ideology.

The individual who discovers Truth, the essence of Natural Law and the knowledge of the Self, is much better equipped to resist degeneracy and corruption, while also actively participating in a positive brotherhood (or sisterhood).

The balance between the wizardspiritual and physical levels of our experience allows for a culture to flourish.

The exploration of “inner space” is as important as action in the physical world. We must permit entheogenic exploration among those who are naturally equipped for such sojourning.

To cultivate a personal relationship with Spirit, and to engage it consciously, is to achieve a state of empowerment beyond the mundane. If society was structured with all of this in mind, the ability to subtly affect manifest existence for the benefit of our fellows would be substantially improved.

We need to learn to apply ourselves, how to spiritually preserve our environments and our people, and this transformation must begin with the individual. All power is vested in the individual, the incarnation (through fractal iteration) of Divinity on Earth.

An integral spirituality must have, in order to persist, a primarily individual foundation that is thereafter oriented towards the group, and only then extended to the collective.

Concerning Hyperborean Spirituality – Part 1

[Note: This article also contains modified contributions by beserkerguru & cairbethebard]

We hyperboreans possess an inherent reverent, introspective, spiritual, or “metaphysical” tendency, a tendency that, in recent history, has been primarily expressed through a variety of traditional religious and spiritual lenses, lenses rarely endemic to European cultures.

As a people, we have become spiritually weak. This is not to say that the spiritual impulse has been diminished in us, but that its potent expression has been suppressed.

The Spirit has chosen our people to do great things, and it is not yet done with us. This era presents us, as a people, with the ultimate challenge, and we must strive to meet it. We cannot sit idly while our people are extinguished from the Earth. That is merely escapism, and ignoring this duty will bring neither glory nor satisfaction.

Nature & Natural Law

There is no ultimate law but that of Nature itself. Natural law is a pervasive force that forcefully places us in our role, it leads us to our place in the tapestry, threading us in and out of it in turn. This is the eternal cycle of life, energy moving from form to form, bringing rise to countless novelties. It provides us with both bounties and challenges.

Yet what is Nature? The word nature derives from the Latin “nātūra”. The word means “conditions of birth, quality, and/or character”, and also is defined as “world or natural order”.

Using this word, we may say that things are “just in our nature” or that instinct is “natural”. We talk about the “beauty of nature” as an inherent quality of the “natural”. We contrast “artificial” with “natural”.

trees
Nature in Action

Nature is the primal activity of the “divine” principle of existence, the process through which the ultimate source of reality creates the myriad forms of life, energy, and matter. This process is spontaneous and continual. From the wellsprings of the infinite emerge countless distinct phenomena.

Some may take offense to the use of the word “divine” to describe this principle, seeking to be agnostic or materialistically scientific about the process. This is understandable, and acceptable, as long as this agnosticism is not blatant atheism.

Upon deep consideration, whatever the underlying principle of Nature is — the mysterious power that brings forth the cosmos itself, being capable of bringing rise to countless forms of life – it is certainly of a unique order and is worthy of the appellative “divine”, which is, after all, nothing more than a name.

Nature is not a God in the sense of being a “master builder” endowed with a certain personality and/or agenda. It is definitely not that. Rather, it is the manifestation of an inherent primordial impulse, which we simply choose to call Divinity.

Flatly rejecting the divine concept on the basis of semantics is akin to denying the existence of the cosmos itself. If it makes you feel more comfortable, you can, as many do, call it GNON (the God of Nature, Or Nature).

Through its spontaneous action, Nature eventually manifests beings who are endowed with varying degrees of awareness, who DO have goals and plans, who DO question. This is how the Divine principle becomes aware of itself, and thereby engages in conscious seeking and deliberation.

Nature is the process that spontaneously brings rise to life. The essence of Nature is a binary logic, and this governs the transformation of life – the forms themselves brought into being through the Divine impulse. Nature has an inherent analinear quality (being both cyclical, or recursive, and linear, or directed).

When engaged in the process of creation, Divinity does not stop to hesitate or question its creative nature; the Spirit does not plan or scheme, it simply creates.

wyrd1

Natural law governs all forms. Natural philosophy aims to discover and study these laws, to leverage them for the benefit of man. As human beings, we seek to understand the cosmos, our relation to it, and to divine the guiding principles of existence – “the laws of Nature”.

However, Nature is not simply a benevolent force. It is also a force that pushes us brutally and strengthens us through tragedy and triumph. We can choose to ignore this, and thereby suffer the loss of our place in the universe, or we can rise to its challenges, however great. In this way we may prove ourselves to be its agents in this act of the cosmic theater.

weave
The Fates

The laws of the tribes of man exist to promote survival. We subsist as long as we can. Society has taken many forms and names, but at the core, the society of men is an extension of Nature: it is no more than supporting your blood, your tribe, a tribe faced with a complex and hostile world.

Our small concerns are superimposed upon the grand scheme of Nature, this being a necessity for the mind to rapidly deal with its surroundings. Although we may be merely actors (for our roles are but short affairs) we may still steer the plot towards a better ending. Although we are ephemeral beings, we may endure through teaching others, and through the line of our descendants.

An Introduction to Hebrew Honeys

israel

Jewish women are superior to white women in nearly every single way, whether it is in regards to body type, personality, or overall attractiveness. Yet, with all the evidence in front of them, many people refuse to believe this simple fact. The love of Jewish women, who are also referred to as Jewesses or Hebrew Honeys, is a very esoteric, niche art form.  Hopefully, I will be able to convince you to take this enlightened mindset as your own.

galgadot
Gal Gadot – A Goddess among women overall, yet an average woman among Jews

There are many, many attractive Jewish women out there, which many of us tend to ignore out of anti-Semitic bigotry. Little do we realize, white men and Jewish women make the best couples – sorry, but it’s a fact. In order to achieve a truly progressive and multicultural future, we must advocate for these interracial and inclusive relationships between white males and Jewish females. Jewish men need to learn to share, and that their time of privilege and supremacy must be ended to advance society as a whole. Jewish supremacy, especially in Israel, is perpetuated by the racist idea that Jews shouldn’t mix away their heritage with other races. Even though Jewishness is based off of matrilineal blood, this pairing of Jewish women and white men would dilute the homogeneity of ethnic Jews, thus dismantling Jewish supremacy over time. To speed up this process, white men should take multiple Jewish wives, which would also help spread acceptance of polygamy, leading to further equality and liberty in regards to sexual orientation.

Ricardo

So, in conclusion, we not only are able to experience the beauty of a group of women, but are fighting for equality in overthrowing a racist group of oppressors in the process of appreciating said beauty. So, loving Jewish women is, in fact, a win-win.

The Culture of Morality

An argument that we hear so often is that, “You shouldn’t be so critical of x because y.” Now I am sure, that you have all heard the saying that morality is relative. Yes, obviously every culture has different morals and customs, however why does this mean we can not critique them?

To put this into easier terms to understand, let me give you an example. I say, “Islam is not a religion of peace, there are multiple points in the Quran that say to kill non-believers.” One would most likely argue with me that not all Muslims act this way. I might reply that even those who do not commit terrorism, never fully come out to condemn the actions of extremists. This could bring up an argument of a different culture with different morals, in which some might say, “You can’t judge them on their morals, they believe something different from us.”

This argument given to me, simply says that you can’t criticize a culture you are not a part of. Now, if this were true wouldn’t praise of a particular culture also fall under moral relativism? Using this logic, anyone who defends Islam, is also breaking the code of morality being relative. In Moral Isolationism by Mary Midgley, she explains how someone who argues like this often tries to justify the culture being criticized. This in itself is saying that you are able to understand other cultures and consequently form opinions on them.

holy wars

However, this argument brings up the question of, what constitutes understanding another culture, or at the very least being able to critique or praise a certain culture. To me, this means to understand the core principles of the culture, and be able to provide decent evidence of these principles.

This is where I have a problem with Nazi and Communist LARPers alike. Do these people really understand the ideology or culture they are advocating for? Or do they just idolize the aesthetics or even just a small portion of the culture? When these people go to rallies, and wave their Nazi or Communist flag, they most likely have no idea what that actually stands for. They have fooled themselves into living a lie. Why does this even matter? Well, it matters because without a true understanding of these principles, these people are living in a fairy tale, if you will.  For myself, this is unacceptable, for I believe that an unexamined life is not worth living. How can you praise or critique a culture that you do not even attempt to understand? Be true to yourself and put forth the effort. If and only if you do this, you may critique, praise, or defend a way of living.

retards

This being said, it is my opinion that a majority of today’s people do not even take the time to examine their own beliefs, let alone learn about the beliefs of others. So, what can you do about it?

The best way to start to understand, is to read everything you can on a subject matter. Start by being able to understand your own culture and ideas, then move on to the culture of others. Read about the people who created societies, and those who ultimately destroyed them. This is a perfect indicator of why people have their beliefs and why they are right or wrong. By doing this, it gives you the ability to take some time, and reflect on not only yourself but other cultures as well. Stop recycling the same old stuff people have been saying for years. Use this knowledge to prove or disprove theories on culture. Blaze your own path of understanding.

trail 2.jpg

Obviously, judging morality of others is not easy work. However, by actively trying it, you can improve yourself and people around you. You can help people understand the failures and successes of certain ways of living. When others begin to understand, they become less ignorant. This may make them upset at first, but that is all part of the process of understanding. There is a certain beauty in it, and only by learning and teaching can you see that.

By all means, once you understand cultures, argue with people about them. Argument provides many things including improving your beliefs and changing the minds of people listening. Relating to the example I gave earlier, by understanding Islam, it gives you the ability to argue about it. In this aspect, knowledge is power. With this power you can accomplish great things. You can ultimately be the judge on morality. People will flock to your ideas, and this is more powerful than anything in the world.

Keep reading, never stop understanding, and become a leader in your community today.

What is Alchemy?

alchemy1

The word alchemy derives from the ancient Greek word for Egypt, Khem or Khemet which means “the black land”, and was so named after the rich crop-enriching black silt of the Nile River.

The ancient Egyptians practiced an art that the Greeks called Khemia, the “black art” or the “hidden art”, which is also known as the Hermetic philosophy. Although it was called “the black art”, this term has nothing to do with the modern connotations of black as nefarious or evil. Later, the arabic prefix Al was added to the word khemia, and eventually it came to be known as alchemy.

Alchemy is what is known as “The Perennial Philosophy”, “The Royal Art” and “The Sacred Science”, among other names.

Inner and Outer Alchemy

Modern day alchemists consider alchemy to be split into two main branches, external or “outer” alchemy, and internal or “inner” alchemy. Truly, these branches are both expressions of the universal alchemical art exemplified by Nature itself.

outeralchemyOuter alchemy is primarily concerned with the transformation of material substances in order to capture their essences in a sublimated material form, with the explicit aim of producing a rare material essence known as the Philosopher’s Stone. This stone is said to have amazing transformative and healing properties.

The art of external alchemy is the origin of modern chemistry. External alchemy continues to be practiced as a sister science to chemistry, for the fundamental methodology of the two sciences are different. Although it is a material practice, the recipes of external alchemy require an internal component: it is said that the alchemist must not only follow the chemical formula and procedures, but must possess the proper attitude and mental state for the work to succeed.

In contrast, inner alchemy is the practice of intentionally directing the transformation of consciousness.

Many alchemists believe inner alchemy to be the one “true” alchemy, where the external alchemy either provided a smokescreen, or a practice that acted as a mirror for the inner alchemical work.

Generally, the inner alchemist does not reject the outer alchemical methods, or even the methods of modern science, but rather is interested in a more subtle and direct approach. Discovering the Philosopher’s Stone of inner alchemy requires a profound refinement of the consciousness of an individual.

External alchemy also transforms consciousness, but it inneralchemydoes so via sympathy: practicing the outer alchemical methodologies in order to transform vegetable, mineral, and chemical substances engenders a corresponding change in consciousness.

Alchemy is Self-Inquiry, the practice of contemplation of Self. Consciousness is the mirror of the divine, and the universal consciousness does nothing but practice alchemy (Nature is itself an alchemical work), producing phenomena after phenomena in devotion to the eternal Self.

A crucial aspect of the alchemical worldview is that the physical world is not separate from consciousness, but is rather an expression of consciousness.

Alchemy Throughout The World

Many of the ancient practices of the various cultures of the world constitute an implementation of the alchemical art. The concept of alchemy often overlaps or is synonymous with the concept of magic.

For example, the Taoists of the Orient practiced a rich and complex alchemical art, both internal and external. The mystery schools of Europe are basically schools of alchemy. The philosophies of Plato and Aristotle are markedly alchemical. The Vedantic science of India is a highly sophisticated alchemical exposition, as are the teachings of Buddha. What is popularly known today as “shamanism” is the practice of inner alchemy. Likewise, magick is a form of inner alchemy.

The early Christian Gnostics espoused a unique alchemical worldview. The Kabbalah is a complex alchemical system, as are the mysteries of Sufism. There are, of course, many more examples of alchemical theory and practice in world history.

The Secrets of Alchemy

Throughout the ages, alchemists have been very secretive concerning their art. This was for a variety of reasons, not the least of which was to escape persecution, insuring that the methods of the art continued to survive to the next generation.

The uninitiated often misunderstand the alchemical practices and may fear the alchemist, even if the alchemist has their best interests at heart. Witch hunts, inquisitions, and other persecutions by those in positions of power have occurred throughout recorded history.

Even in recent history, the Taoist alchemists of China were persecuted during the so-called “cultural revolution”, when traditional culture was seen as something to be destroyed rather than preserved. Many alchemical lineages and unique secrets of alchemy passed down for generations were lost to posterity during that time.

Despite the secrecy surrounding the practice of alchemy, it is known to adepts that “the great secrets of alchemy keep themselves”. Even if very powerful secrets happen to be publicly revealed, only one with a refined consciousness (that is, one who is actively engaged in alchemical work) would be able to make effective use of them.

Inner Alchemy

Ultimately, inner alchemy is one of many practical methods for the directed inner development of the individual; fostering the process of realizing one’s true nature through a gradual transformation of consciousness.

The practice is divided into three distinct transformative stages. These stages describe the major fields of exploration that the aspirant travels through on their journey. They are the stage of Prima Materia, the stage of the White Stone, and the stage of the Red Stone. In alchemical literature, there are also many different descriptions of the sub-processes and strata within each stage.

It is important to note that the stages are only a device for explanation of the alchemical process. In practice, the stages often overlap as insights from different stages appear to the individual.

The framework of the three stages provides a reference map of the alchemical process that guides the individual through a graduated revelation of inner potential. This map assists the individual in navigating what can otherwise be a confusing inner journey.

The Aim of Alchemy

The aim of alchemic practice is a radical shift in perspective, a transformation of consciousness that changes one’s life. This transformation leads to an understanding of one’s own nature and potential, to an unfolding of the dormant possibilities within.

The inherent value of this practice is beyond measure. Those who persevere in the alchemical path will surely receive a treasure beyond any other: understanding of the Self.

alchemy2.jpg

The Self is the true inherent nature of each individual. We employ the Self always, but rarely understand it or recognize our true relation to the ultimate Reality.

This is the goal of inner alchemy: to realize one’s true nature, and to understand one’s relationship with all things. The alchemist seeks to awaken from its slumber the inherent association with the one true Self that resides within their own individual incarnation.

Whatever secondary discoveries and insights occur in the practice of alchemy, they are unimportant in relation to the true aim of the art. If these discoveries serve to hinder the understanding of the Self, then they are less than worthless.

ALCHEMY IS NATURAL

The cosmos is already engaged in an alchemical process, and you are a part of it. Life is alchemy. The transformation of the elements occurring everywhere in natural processes is alchemy. The creation of culture is alchemy. Art is alchemy. From a spider’s web to a spiral galaxy, the observable world is a process of transformation.

This transformation is not without purpose. Existence is the process by which the Self knows itself. This happens spontaneously, even unconsciously.

Alchemy is the deliberate practice of the natural aim of existence: to manifest beings that are aware of their own true nature.

Alchemists are those who recognize the underlying alchemical process that is already occurring, and become actively engaged in this process.

ALCHEMY IS PRACTICAL

Because consciousness is the origin of the material world, an individual may only profoundly affect their environment to the extent that they have purified their consciousness. Because a key aspect of alchemy is the art of the purification of consciousness, the practice of alchemy has inestimable practical value.

AS WITHIN, SO WITHOUT

This inner transformation motivated by alchemy is mirrored by external change. As the aspiring alchemist progresses, their environment shifts to match the inner conditions.

Among the greatest achievements of alchemy is the recognition that the world adapts to the state of one’s consciousness, as the nature of the world is consciousness.

When this principle is integrated into one’s life, a practitioner is able to effect external change by changing their state of mind. This is the principle that has been popularized as “the power of positive thinking” or the “law of attraction”.

This is usually a gradual process. The world, being consciousness itself, adapts itself in a smooth, graceful manner to the mind of the alchemist.

Those alchemists who practice external alchemy (transmuting material forms) are also experiencing a corresponding inner change. This is also one of the ancient alchemical secrets. Action transforms consciousness, and transforming the environment transforms the mind.

This principle is best described by the axiom “as within, so without” or conversely “as without, so within”. Inside and outside are mere categories of consciousness and thus affect each other in kind.

ALCHEMY IS A WAY OF LIFE

The practice of inner alchemy touches every aspect of life.

An understanding of the alchemical principles leads to a deeper understanding of any endeavor one may be involved in. These principles may be applied to any activity.

Alchemy is a way of life that consciously emulates the scheme contained in life itself.

The Issue of Hyper-Tolerance

tolerance

In recent history, mainstream western society has placed a high value on inclusiveness. This preference is evident throughout popular culture.

It is currently considered more worthwhile to be sympathetic than it is to be accurate. There exists a ridiculous social condition where the status quo rests on tolerance. However, this tolerance extends only to others who also share the same “tolerant” values.

Is this true tolerance?

The value placed by society on critical thinking and cautious tendencies is significantly less than that placed on personal preference and tolerance in the present era. This tendency is hindering scientific education and progress, while also casting its dark shadow over the socio-political landscape.

There appears to be a widespread idea that “negativity” is inherently bad, and to be avoided. As a society we often say “yes”, when we should be saying “no”. This is an indication of excessive reliance on being tolerant.

Utilizing political correctness as the ideal for managing society fails to address the many problems actually inherent to our biological and social realities. Such an attitude inherently implies rejecting unpleasant facts, as well as fostering a general avoidance of the negative, an unwillingness to “feel bad”, and a crippling tendency of being unable to bear unpleasant objective experiences that must be endured in order to solve problems.

Objective critical evaluation is crucial to any sort of genuine integrity, and should synergize with the ideals of group advocacy, and the affirmation of individual preferences. These are both very important principles, neither should be neglected or blown out of proportion.

The issue with excessive reliance on tolerance is the spread of an insidious belief that all that is needed to have integrity is to be easygoing, sympathetic, and to proudly display one’s personal preferences.

Perhaps these may be admirable things, as the world definitely needs a reasonable degree of tolerance and self-expression. However, this social tendency has reached such extremes that it encourages insane levels of degeneracy. This tendency is also easily exploited by politicians and pundits, who use it to push aside many issues of profound importance.

There are some who believe themselves to be better and more enlightened than others, simply because they are more tolerant. This surface openness simply conceals a covert intolerance. Such individuals are secretly intolerant towards criticality, towards “no” itself! They affirm themselves and others, but are not willing to accept the need to reject, to forbid, to exclude, and to evaluate the world objectively.

We cannot simply discard that which we do not prefer, without examination, if we wish to have any legitimate understanding of the world. Nature is both nurturing and cruel, allowing personal preference to be expressed, while also balancing such preference with the objective realm of fact and necessity.

integrity

We must seek integrity within – a state of awareness that presents an unclouded mirror of Nature to our awareness – in order to truly solve the problems faced by our tribes, communities, nations, and the world itself.

The false integrity of superficial tolerance can only avoid difficult truths, because it would be too painful to address them directly. Likewise, being too critical, playing the “skeptic” (or the nihilist) is simply another trap, one that arises when one avoids subjective advocacy and places excessive reliance on objectivity.

For one to discover this integrity, one must come face to face with the shadow within, and embrace it.

Through this exploration of the hidden biases we hold, we can begin to perceive our “blind spots”, thereby achieving a greater state of wholeness, as well as a more encompassing awareness of the majesty and terror of existence itself.
